Invitation Guidelines

Invitations should be ordered around 4 to 5 months before your event. Keep in mind that some printers can take up to 5 weeks to deliver printed invitations. Letterpress printing and engraving can take a bit longer than thermography or off-set printing, depending on the company.

Whether your preference is traditional or contemporary wording, or maybe something in between, our staff can help you navigate the tricky wording situations. Be sure to confirm all names, titles and other details that will be printed on your invitations.

When determining how many invitations to order, remember to count invitations, not invited guests. Add 15-20 extra to your count for last minute guest additions and keepsakes. It is usually costly to have a re-print order so it is always safest to order a few extra invitations.

Every printing company offers the option to see a proof of your invitations before they go to press. There is often a small fee for these proofs but it is really important that you purchase them. They are your insurance against any errors.

There are several different printing methods available. They vary in price, look, and texture. We are happy to help you decide which method is best for your needs.
